Subject: Danger…Keep Out!

Good Morning Ethan & Emily:

All of us from the time we were small children are taught to avoid certain things.  Usually such avoidance was to protect us and keep us from harm (staying out of the medicine cabinet; not sticking metal objects into electrical outlets, etc.).  We do the same for our pets because we love them and want them to stay out of harm’s way.

Similarly, we do well in life to stay away from anything that God “hates.”  In fact, there are seven things which the Bible says God “detests,” and they are outlined in Proverbs 6:16 – 19:

1.  haughty eyes

2.  a lying tongue

3.  hands that kill the innocent

4.  a heart that plots evil

5.  feet that race to do wrong

6.  a false witness

7.  a person who sows discord among brothers.

Although God hates ALL sin, these seven top the list.  They are Danger Zones of the highest degree, and some omissions from the list may surprise you.  But review each item carefully that did make the list…and then…Stay away….and KEEP OUT!

My prayer is that you avoid any and ALL Danger Zones…today and all the days of your lives.
